As a business consultant specializing in IT, Libby Roney provides executive advisory services to mid and large-sized organizations seeking to build or redefine their business and technology plans and optimize the capabilities of their IT organizations. Throughout her career working for major fashion and home brands, Libby was repeatedly tapped to develop the strategic business and IT agenda, and then align talent, process and technology to build capabilities, drive performance and raise the ROI in IT.
She held positions as US CIO at Chanel, and Lechters, and leadership roles at Melville Corp, and Kmart. With each new executive appointment, Libby assembled high caliber leadership and technical teams ranging from 25 to 250+ people and managing expense budgets of up to $50M, transitioning from highly fragmented, siloed support functions to fully integrated business driving forces and oversaw the implementation of a wealth of systems and technology ranging from upgrades to VoIP, through installation of MPLS networks, to implementation of SAP and Microsoft Dynamics software suites. She served on a global and national level for both private and public companies, continually demonstrating the ability to lead IT transformation across multiple scales and business environments.
Ms. Roney’s span of expertise includes strategic business and IT planning, organization of the IT function, enterprise systems planning/design/implementation, management information strategy and data governance.
Ms. Roney completed the Harvard University Managing the Information Services Resource Certification Program. She attended Montclair State College from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Business Management.
